TDV Turbine Diverter Valve
Turbine Diverter Valve mounted to turbo

Does your small turbine housing
hold back power & over speed your turbo?

Does your big turbine housing open up big power
but have poor response times?

Maintain your velocity throughout the engine rpm.  Small turbine housings like a 0.8 or 0.9 A/R ratio provide great bottom end turbo response, but, they choke the engine at higher rpms. Utilizing a 1.25 A/R ratio housing with the TDV directs the exhaust gas into a single volute until a boost pressure of 18 psi (adjustable).  As boost pressure increases and reaches a preset level, the valve will open the second volute to balance the drive pressures and allow the engine to breath at high engine rpm.

Attaching a Turbine Diverter Valve to bigger turbine housings eliminates their spooling problems and while not allowing higher rpm choking. With the TDV, your turbo will spool up quicker while reducing your 1/4 mile times, exhaust temperatures and smoke levels. Valve, flap and shaft assemblies are precision investment stainless steel casted, and, available in T4-T3 and T4-T4 mounting flange configurations - T4-T6 adapters also available.

Brilliant Idea and concept. This unit would work good for any older low compression diesel that experiances turbo lag with split turbine inducers. I cannot wait to try one!!! - Rod Roth from Roderick’s Skid-Steer Service Ltd.
